
Teams:
- Each team shall have four (4) adult golfers.
- Female golfers will play from the red tees.
- Male golfers will play from the white tees.
Format: Elimination Scramble
- Each team member will tee off from Hole #1.
- If a team is starting from any other hole, the team will decide who will not hit so only three golfers are hitting.
- The team decides which shot is most favorable. The team golfer whose shot is chosen is eliminated from hitting the second shot.
- When the team selects the second shot, the golfer whose shot is chosen is eliminated from hitting the third shot.
- This will continue for the entire round.
- The team golfer who makes the last putt on a hole cannot tee off on the subsequent hole. [Exception: See 1 above].
- The team golfer who is eliminated cannot make a practice shot or putt during the time he or she is eliminated. Each violation of the elimination scramble format results in a two-stroke penalty.
Rules:
- USGA rules will govern all competition, with the exception of the elimination scramble format.
- Out-of-bounds is defined by white stakes, perimeter fencing/walls and the inside edge of the curbing of roads.
- Water hazards are marked with red or yellow stakes and painted lines.
- Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1).
- Maintenance fans are deemed immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2b).
- Each team golfer may place his/her ball within one-club length of the selected shot, but not nearer the hole. If a selected shot is played from a rough, hazard, fairway, sand trap, or fringe of the green, again the ball may be placed within one-club length of the selected shot, but not nearer the hole. The ball must remain in the rough, hazard, fairway, sand trap or on the fringe of the green.
- When putting, the ball must be placed withing two (2) inches of the selected shot, but not nearer the hole. [NOTE: Teams are cautioned not to make tap-ins until all elgible team golfers have attemted the original putt. Once the ball is holed out, no further strokes count].
- The team may help determine the line of putt.
- The lie may be improved everywhere on the course by placing the ball or using the club head. See Rules 6 and 7 above.
- The Team with the lowest score will be designated the first place winner; next lowest score will be deemed the second place winner; and the team with the third lowest score will win third place.
- If neccessary, ties will be broken by scorecard playoff starting on the #1 handicap hole and continuing to #2 - then #3, etc. until the first, second and third place teams are determined.
- All golf equipment must conform to USGA regulations.
- The fourteen-club rule is waived.
- One ball rule is waived.
- Range finders are not allowed.
- Each team has the responsibility for repairing ball marks, raking bunkers and filling divots with sand.
