The Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is a nonprofit public/private collaboration that provides a coordinated, multi-agency approach to the investigation, intervention, and treatment of child sexual and physical abuse. These agencies include:
- Dallas Police Department
- Texas Department of Family Protective Services, Child Protective Services (CPS)
- Dallas County District Attorney’s Office
- Children’s Medical Center of Dallas
- Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
- Irving Police Department – Irving Family Advocacy Center
The mission of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is to break the cycle of child abuse through collaborative intervention in a child-sensitive environment. Our vision of success is improving the lives of abused children in Dallas County and providing national leadership on child abuse issues.
DCAC provides a non-threatening, non-institutional secure, child-friendly environment for the children and families we serve.
